Welcome to your January 2024 reading and guidance blog. The crystal for this month is Selenite and when I see this gemstone I think of cleansing and nurturing. It is said to connect us with angelic and spiritual beings and is such a lovely stone to hold. Thinking about the energy lapis is bringing us for the whole of the year and combining it with selenite you should be able to put aside your ego and focus on your goals and dreams. We are back to that word 'truth' and I feel as if selenite helps us to communicate with higher beings and our higher self to get much needed guidance on what we should be doing next. While I do feel selenite nurtures us it also pushes us to cleanse out anything we no longer need so we can focus on the path that is best for us. This month should be the start of looking clearly at what needs to go from our lives and where our focus should be for now.

The lovely starman tarot shows us the hanged man and the 4 of wands. These can both be considered as waiting cards in different ways. Now this combination is telling us that in one sense we need to get off the fence and start taking action, while other things require us to just sit and wait. The energy around this year in general is guiding us to look in truth at what needs to be done, and so you will know those things that are weighing heavily on your mind because they have not been dealt with. You need to start making plans to face up to these outstanding things in your life and take steps to deal with them. Anything that you are not worried about can be left for the moment and you will find that as you start working on the problems around you and finishing off old projects movement will start happening for you and life will get easier.

The Santa Muerte card is the hermit and this is telling you that January has to be all about you, that you should step back from too many social engagements and spend time getting your life in order. This card shows that you need to spend some time getting to know yourself again and spending some time in meditation and possibly using the energy of selenite you should find some answers to some of the questions you have been asking.

The prism tarot is the 8 of gems or pentacles, and it simply say 'hard work' which is an indication that you need to focus on the jobs that you find the most difficult. It feels as if January will be the month that will set you up for the rest of the year. Most people see it as dry January or Veganuary and if you are reading this today you should see it as the month when you start working your way through all those difficult jobs and problems that you have held back dealing with. The 8 of pentacles is also a card of finishing projects, focusing on the small details now to get things done.

The crystal skull message cards show with 'communication'. This card coming in is telling you that spirit is trying to communicate with you and so you should spend some time in meditation if you can. Also keep an open mind to messages coming in from all over, in nature and numbers and dreams. Keep a diary of things that you are seeing or hearing that you find interesting. It will be useful to you in the future as you will have a booklet of signs that came to you and what they meant to you at the time and what messages they held. The other message I am feeling with this is that you should be communicating with those around you that January is the month when you need to be spending time alone and catching up with things that are outstanding.

The last is the oracle card and it says 'Abundance - I am a limitless being, and I can manifest whatever I desire in this physical reality' Now if you think that at anyone time we have hundreds of possibilities around us and in our futures, the future we want is there. All we have to do is focus on what we want and the universe will guide us to that path. Sometimes though it is not what is best for us and our higher selves will fight against it, so be aware of this when you are wishing for an easy way forward like winning the lottery or marrying a millionaire :) Your higher self may just try to steer you away from that easy path because you will not learn many lessons by living the easy life in all aspects.

So to sum up January this is about setting out our stall for the rest of the year and getting some of the hard work out of the way. It is important we start off as we mean to go on and not allow others to distract us with their paths.
